Logging
Resolution
This is an issue in the 1.x.xxx version of PM5500 firmware which was causing a File Status error condition and issue of occasional missing records in the data log. The device driver stops downloading on-board data logs after some time (approximately 2 months if the data logging interval is 15 minutes)
These issues have been fixed in FW V2.0.1. See Video: PowerLogic PM5500 - Upgrade Procedure for Firmware using FTP

Reference the embedded video and attached documents for detailed instructions when using DLF-3000 to upgrade CM4000, PM800, and PM5000 series meter firmware.
The attached procedure is specific to upgrading firmware on the PM800 and PM5000 meters, however the concept and guidelines will be similar for the following meter types in the Powerlogic family:
CM4000 Series
CM3000 Series
CM2000 Series
PM800 Series
PM600 Series
PM5000 Series
- To upgrade a CM4000/4250, load the firmware files in the following order using DLF-3000:
2- CM4_OS_XXXXX.fw
3- CM4_LL_XXXXX.fw
If it is a CM4000T, install CVMT_OS_XXXXX.fw after upgrading the CM4_LL_XXXX.fw file.
- To upgrade CM3000 series, load the firmware files in the following order using DLF-3000:
2- CM3_OS_XXXXX.fw
3- CM3_LL_XXXXX.fw
Use the following link to download the DLF-3000 software:
DLF3000 Download
It is important to note that you need to right click and run DLF3000 as an administrator.

Since Accuracy depends on the load of the system, IEC/AS have developed different standards to define accuracy under different load conditions, known as “Accuracy Class”
IEC/AS Standard 62053-11 covers Accuracy Class 0.5, 1.0 & 2 for electromechanical meters for active energy (watt-hours) which means the accuracy as a percentage from reading based on full load conditions and unity power factor. However the accuracy deteriorates under lower load conditions, power factor less than unity along with the presence of harmonics.
IEC/AS Standard 62053-21 covers Accuracy Class 1.0 & 2 for static/electronic meters for active energy (watt-hours) which means the accuracy as a percentage from reading based on full load conditions and unity power factor. However the accuracy deteriorates under lower load conditions, power factor less than unity along with the presence of harmonics.
IEC/AS Standard 62053-22 covers a higher Accuracy Standard of 0.2S and 0.5S for static/electronic for active energy (watt-hours) providing a higher “Accuracy Standard” under full load conditions and unity power factor in addition to better accuracy readings at much lower load currents, power factor conditions less than unity along with the presence of harmonics.
The Power meter PF measurement display may indicate undefined values as ******. This is due to the calculation of having 0mA when the load is not drawing any current. The Power Factor when calculated is an undefined value (divide by 0) and, therefore, displays as ******.
The PM5110 has the following functionality:
- I, V, F Energy, PF
- THD and Min/Max readings
- Pulsed and Modbus outputs for energy monitoring

Product Lifespan
Resolution:
The PM5000 series meters' lifespan is about 10 years, like most meters.
As meters get older some will start to degrade due to their age.
For example the PM5000 series have displays in their units that will start to fade and get dark due to the screen starting to wear out.
Do the PM5500 series meters support BACNet MSTP protocol?

Resolution
The PM5500 series meters do not support BACNet MS/TP (BACNet Serial), these meters only support BACNet IP (over Ethernet)
Kindly refer to page 54 the PM5500 User Manual for more details on BACNet IP support.
