From a suburban family oasis in Adelaide to a stylish mountain escape on the Sunshine Coast – see how Clipsal has added the perfect finishing touch to five very different builds.

The Modern Beachside Bunker

An architectural showpiece on the oceanfront in Gerringong, South Coast, New South Wales – The Bunker House was created to be the ultimate escape from a busy Sydney lifestyle.

Designed and built by Futureflip, the award-winning home’s design incorporates mid-century modern elements while remaining sensitive to its surrounding landscape.

The home was built with sustainability in mind and is capable of running ‘off-grid’ due to its 10,000L rainwater tanks and 21.6kw solar system. A fully automated smart home, its seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, gym, steam room, hot-tub, heated rooftop pool, three kitchens, EVlink electric vehicle fast charger and three separate living areas can all be controlled at the touch of a button, and from anywhere in the world.

The Contemporary Family Home

This spacious and contemporary family home in the Adelaide suburb of Brighton has made the most of its incredible views over the ocean and Adelaide Hills thanks to some clever architectural and lighting features.

While designing and building the home, Finesse Built has made use of natural materials such as timber, stone and rammed earth and complemented these perfectly with a careful consideration to lighting.

The home’s double butterfly roofline lets in plenty of natural light through the day, with a stunning selection of lighting fixtures making the most of the indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces in the evening.

All of these are controlled with Clipsal’s Wiser smart home system, setting the mood with preset scenes that automatically control light, heating, blinds and more.

The Mid-Century Modern Build

This mid-century-style home in Wattle Park, Adelaide, is a design lover’s dream. Every detail has been considered, from the skillion roof to the burnished concrete floors.

Designed and built by Regent Homes, the 470 square-metre, four-bedroom home is a showstopper. It has a six-metre high entrance foyer, raked ceilings and huge areas of glazing overlooking the pool and outdoor entertaining area. Sliding doors encourage an indoor/outdoor flow, perfect for entertaining.

Wholly dedicated to design, the owners wanted fixtures that look fantastic but can also easily be updated should their tastes change over time. The obvious choice was Clipsal’s award-winning Iconic range, which allows them to swap out the switch and socket covers as often as they’d like once the initial installation was done by a professional.

The Bushland Oasis

Dramatic north-facing views of Buderim range are hidden behind an unassuming minimalist façade in this cleverly designed home, perched on the edge of bushland at Little Mountain on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Indoor/outdoor resort-style living was achieved with a thoughtful approach by DCM Building Design.

The house, which has a modern industrial feel and a timber, black and concrete colour palette, is cut into the slope of the block. This maximises the space inside as well as the backyard, making ample room for a pool, firepit and an outdoor kitchen complete with built-in beer taps.

All of these areas are fully controlled by Clipsal’s smart home solution, Wiser - which was chosen because of its easy installation and user-friendly app that the whole family can use.

The Hamptons’ Style House

A coastal-chic family home in Leppington, New South Wales, with a flexible floor plan for multi-generation living.

This new display home by Eden Brae Homes has been designed with a nod to the popular Hamptons’ style with soft grey cladding on the upper-level exterior, finished with a white trim. White, inky blue and American oak are used throughout the interior to reflect the light, bright beachside ambiance.

The four-bedroom, two-storey home has been designed to accommodate a large or extended family, as the floorplan is easily adapted for a fifth bedroom. Clipsal was selected for this very reason, with its Wiser-enabled network of Iconic switches and power points that are modular and can easily be added on over time.
